Left Waddington just after 11:00 to head to Pierre's - a short trip, arrived about 12. The marina was fairly empty when we arrived but has been filling up since we got here - it's a big marina with a store & fuel dock, as well as laundry, showers & a happy hour/dinner building. We're seeing some of the same boats that were in Waddington - Deerleap is one of them.
It's a beautiful day here - sunny & got to a high of 73. Today was a big laundry day - 2 in Echo Bay's machines, 3 in ours. Rod will be making water before we leave (-: It helps to have power off the dock so the generator doesn't have to be on for washer & dryer!
Tonight was Prime Rib night - all you bring is plates & your beverage of choice. We've taken to just bringing our "box" of wine so we have as many refills as we need. That's all we buy at the liquor stores in Canada, much easier to carry on the boat & Canada has great boxed wine. We've figured out what we like & write the names down so we can remember from year to year. Dinner was spit barbequed prime rib, baked potatoes with all the toppings, salad, green beans, carrots & corn. Dessert was layered ice cream cake with ice cream.
We sat next to a couple who live near Agate Pass. She (Carol) was scheduled to go with Nikki tomorrow at 3:30 & would prefer to go with us at 11:00 so I emailed Nikki & we're all set. We'll go see her log cabin home first (it's on Billy Proctor's land & he helped her build it). Then we'll go out with her for the afternoon.
