This morning we woke up to windows dripping & beads of water all over the boat. We think it's from the fog which must have been close to the water during the night. We took off for Pierre's about 11:00. Our friend, Jan Harper, is flying in tomorrow afternoon on Kenmore Air & will be with us until 8/13 so we'll be getting things cleaned up & reorganized for her arrival.
Turns out that the last boat to come in last night is a kayaking adventure boat called the Columbia III. You can google her online. They started putting down kayaks around 9-9:30. Some are 2 people, others are singles. There are 7 in the water (1 guide) & they're off exploring. Unfortunately we did not see any bears here but did see a flock of geese flying over the boat, in addition to our other sightings. Definitely a come back to place!
We left Viner at 11:30 & arrived at Pierre's at 12:30. The sun & blue sky came out around 1:30 & it got up to 72. Tonight was Pierre's fish fry - haven't been here for that before. We didn't have to bring anything except our plates, utensils & beverage of choice. We had fried halibut that Pierre caught, french fries, cole slaw with apples & raisins, rolls & key lime pie. It was great & we sat with an interesting group of people so conversation was good too.
