Woke up this morning to partly cloudy/sunny skies, 67' at 7:30. It got up to 78 today & was still 72 at 9:00pm. Most of the day we had a nice breeze so it didn't feel nearly as hot as yesterday.
One thing I don't think I've talked about is the sharing of power when we raft. Each of us has a 30A outlet that can supply another boat with power. We alternate back & forth so only one generator needs to be on at a time.
Today we played Mexican Train with Jon & Lois - didn't finish so we hope to do that in the next day or two. Both the Kippers & Harv & Maggie are going to Pender tomorrow, as are we. We'll stay at the SYC outstation, Harv will stay at Royal Vancouver Yacht Club outstation & Kippers will either anchor out or stay at one of the marinas. Sounds like the weather will not be good to cross the Georgia Straits on Wed. so we'll see when we can actually leave Pender Harbor to go to Ganges. We're hoping to be there by Friday so we can go to the Saturday market which is always fun. Also, our friend Jan, who was just on the boat with us, will be there with her sister & we're hoping to see them.
Tonight we dined with Lois & Jon again on their boat. They barbequed lamb chops & we brought a green salad & fried rice. After dinner we went with them to say goodbye to the other part of the raft. We're hoping to have dinner at the Pub with them tomorrow night. Our friends from Powell River are staying here for at least one more night.
