July 20th - Octopus Islands

We left this morning a little before 11:30 in order to time the rapids through Surge Narrows & Beazley Passage at or near slack water. Temperature was in the low 60's with partial clouds & blue sky. We arrived at 1:30 & anchored - Silhans were not far behind. We're getting together on our boat for dinner & will have the steaks we didn't barbeque last night. It did get up to 70 for a short time - this evening was beautiful, calm water & sun against the trees surrounding the bay.
