Last night around 8:30 our TV stopped working...which, of course, is not acceptable to Captain Rod. So, immediately he started trying to figure out what happened. At first he thought it had stopped because it was so hot, but after much diagnosing determined it was dead. Fortunately (-: this boat came with 3 TV's, 1 of which is the same size as the salon TV. (The former owner was a TV anchor in LA). So began a major project of taking out the dead one, disconnecting cables, bringing up the 1 from our stateroom, exchanging stands, removing the teak trim, trying to figure out which cables had to be reconnected where to get picture, sound, etc. After the TV was FINALLY working again & parts were everywhere in the salon, I went to bed to escape the chaos (around 10:30) & Capt. Rod watched his "new" TV. This morning, after confirming that everything was working properly, the trim went back on & the project was completed. Of course...none of this could have waited until this morning - my engineer husband would never have allowed that to happen!!! And, it's all back together by 7:30am!!! Then he put the replaced TV back together to get it out of the road & once assembled it was working - hmmm, will see how long that lasts.
It was 80 outside at 7:30 - another hot day. Went kayaking for about an hour this morning - will see what happens with that. My leg was definitely more sore later in the afternoon yesterday. Harv & Maggie fished last night after they left their friends - they caught a 20 lb & a 18 lb salmon. Now both guys are saying they have no more room for fish in their freezers. What a change from the past few years!
This afternoon we saw a female deer with twin fawns on Scobell. Rod got some great pics. Tonight we are doing vegies with hummus, fresh clams, rolls & a caesar salad with barbequed breaded chicken strips in it.
