It definitely has cooled off a little & the wind was minimal this morning so we took off around 9:00. First we visited for a while with our friends from Maui & got caught up. They are heading to Barkley Sound to do some fishing. On our way, Rod saw our neighbor, Dale Henley, was in Rebecca Spit. We thought we might get to spend some time with him, but he pulled anchor as Rod was watching the AIS (automatic identification system) so we just talked on the radio. He was headed to Cortez to the SYC outstation that we just left. Looks like we won't see him until we get back to La Conner.
The water was smooth & we arrived at 11:00 - about the same time as the Silhans. After we got anchored & both got our dinghies down, they came over to visit for a few minutes. We decided to go to the restaurant in Heriot Bay for dinner tonight. They are going over this afternoon to catch up on news etc. since they haven't had internet connection & can get that at the hotel if they buy some food. We both want to do a little grocery shopping here too. We'll do ours tomorrow.
Dinner was good & there is a cute shop attached to the hotel that always has great things for sale.
